Becki and I were just discussing this morning that it was barely a year ago that I leaned over to her during Bible study and whispered, “I think we’re getting a baby.” And now that baby is eleven months old TODAY! He has five teeth. He eats raisins and cheeseburgers and Brussels sprouts and cereal and yogurt and crackers. He splashes in the bathtub, empties my Tupperware drawer seventeen times a day, and eats more cat food than the cats do. He can climb stairs, walk behind his walker, and stand in the middle of the floor all by himself. He can wave and clap and dance.
And he makes Hubs and the boy and me very happy.
Eleven months looks good on you, Thing 2!
I’m sure tomorrow he’ll be doing back flips into the lake, jumping off the deck of the playhouse, and riding his bike without training wheels. Hubs and I are pretty sure that Thing 2 is going to need a helmet as part of his daily outfit. He is a mover and a shaker. He’s a climber, a jumper and a risk-taker.
And he gives the best sloppy, totally wet, baby kisses we’ve had in years!
And then… I have a photo dump for y’all. It’s because Thing 2 and I are home a lot together, and the camera is always with us. And I tend to OVER TAKE on the pictures sometimes.
(Okay. ALL of the times!)
So tonight you get very few words and a whole lot of snapshots from the past two weeks.
It’s hard to believe that in just one short month, it’ll be time to dish up some ice cream to go alongside the birthday cake.
Y’all have a great Tuesday evening.
